Hello everyone, my name is Lenka and I was born and raised in Slovakia. Is a small beautiful country in central Europe with lots of nature beauty, hiking and biking trails, freshwater lakes and old-growth forests. My family of five was quite busy with two older brothers I would have the different friends and spend most of my childhood running outdoors, riding bike and keep falling of it, picking apples in old orchard, singing songs, daydreaming, playing soccer with boys or learning how to ride my friends motorcycle.I ended up riding this small 50c engine on my own once and meeting my grandma on the way made up one of those fun sunny childhood stories full of love and excitement.I loved my grandma. We would always cook and bake together. Food was full of love and therefore delicious. At home I would always find myself doodling around – no rules no drawing books, just draw from memory. Usually I tend to used charcoal and drew faces or abstract forms where you can find other worlds. I don’t like specified boundaries and rules – especially in art.My believe is that art is a dialogue and people should feel inspired and feel the excitement of their own creative process based on what they see. That’s is the reason why I love abstract art with the hint of an idea and open endings and endless possibilities. Me and my parents are big nature enthusiast. We joined the hiking group and with their and my friends hiked and visited quite a few places in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Romania.I love traveling and meeting people. In past year I was lucky enough and hiked magical Patagonia W trek and Costa Rica’s jungle. No doubt where my inspiration comes from – nature shapes, colors, sounds & smells creating magic. I studied Ecology and Environmental Science and don’t have proper art education.I feel my art and I don’t think anyone need a “paper” to express themselves, although is great to know the techniques and composition tricks. I educate myself from books, internet and practice. I love watercolor art.The magic of water mixing the colors is the most exciting part of my art.I am not in charge when I paint – water is the master. As far as possible I would like to keep working with watercolors at the same time I love experimenting with watercolor/acrylic mix. Most of my work was given as a gift to my friends and family. Recently I decided to pursue my feeling and excitement further and keep sharing with others. I am very grateful for your visit, time and wish you smile on your face. Lenka.
